Self Organizing Maps - An object oriented framework
=abstract=
In this thesis the concept of self organizing maps is
analyzed and generalized with respect to several variants.
First a detailed introduction into the basic concepts is
given. Then a few extensions concerning growing maps are described.
These components are analyzed afterwards, 
and put into a general, object oriented framework.
The implementation was done within the Analysis++ package.
Several examples conclude the paper.
