=abstract=
This report systematically analyzes the performance of the parallel computer
algebra environment Distributed Maple on various multiprocessors and
networked computers using artificial benchmarks as well as real-life
applications. This study exhibits the performance bottlenecks of the
environment and sheds light on the suitability of different architectures
for Distributed Maple applications.
